Meet our Academic Advisors
Our organization is very fortunate to have an academic advisor, Dr. Elena Shpak. She is currently a University of Tennessee professor that is familiar with our goals and supports us in achieving them. Dr. Shpak also act as mentors for our members by helping us become more involved and connected with UTK's campus and the local Knoxville community.
Dr. Elena Shpak
Science Advisor
Elena Shpak is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Tennessee. She is a member of American Society of Plant Biologists, a UTK faculty Senator, and an Event Coordinator for the Tennessee State Science Olympiad. She enjoys mentoring young women and is passionate about increasing diversity in STEM fields.
